Everyday is Halloween part 3

Time for another musical classic… I remember back in the day reading goth websites on my Amiga (A1200 with 30mhz cpu turbo card and additional 8mb of ram, heh) hooked up to the web with a shitty modem and I was reading some archive of a goth themed newsgroup and hearing about these bands like Bauhaus etc and all the amazing songs they recorded.

Took a few years to actually hear the song. And well… it wasn’t what I expected from the descriptions. But it was really good in its own ways. I love to pull this one out from time to time and give it a listen :D

The idea: to combat the earlier and earlier appearance of christmas in stores I decided to start celebrating Halloween from January 1st. That means every day I have to either watch, do or create something horror or creepy themed. Anything goes.

Hi, it’s been a while.

Reactivating this place as a “I wanna ramble about something but don’t feel like making a twitter thread cause they get lost instantly” kind of thing but there will be new art too. Dunno if any better than the old art, heh.

Also, I can finally say that I have found a way to draw ears that I like a lot and think looks okay.

Final postable practice piece from 2012 and the last one of today’s batch. I think the length of legs is a little bit off.

Final multiple drawings page I’m posting from 2012. I quite like the dynamic on the upper drawing. And I just noticed I didn’t finish the girl’s necl. Missed that while drawing, scanning and editing, only picked up on it while posting. Great.

And we’re back to “shirtless people with swords”. Disregard the messed up abs.Gelpen drawing, and one of the last pieces from 2012 that I have left to post.

The last marker piece I did. They were pretty much dry at this point. Pretty much a shadows study + a somewhat strangely foreshortened arm pasted from another page, but I do like the squareish fingers.

More doodles cobbled together from three sheets. The best part I think is the face in bottom left, the rest is somewhat random. I just felt they were goofy enough to keep them.

And a complete piece for a change. What is it with me and swords? I tried to keep my scratchyness under controll and did it only a couple of spots. Some black areas were filled digitally (marker was running low), rest is gelpens and markers.
